The Entrance Hall

You are in a vast, gloomy entrance hall.  Your footsteps on the polished marble tiles echo distantly, from the furthest corners of the room.  There are luxuriant potted plants and comfortable looking sofas; it vaguely reminds you of a faded Victorian hotel.  From somewhere, you can hear the sound of a grue.

Behind you are the main doors, with marble steps leading down to a busy road; though somehow the traffic noise fails to disturb the silence.  There is an unmanned reception desk. In front of you are the doors to a library, and to the right is a kitchen; enticing smells emanate from its depths.  On either side, a vast sweeping staircase leads to the upper floors, and down to the unknown depths of the cellar, from which you can hear faint whirring and beeping noises; you suspect there is technology down there.

Doyle and Tigger

Click here for some photos of my cats Doyle and Tigger, currently living in France, but arriving in the UK in February.  Bodie is the silver grey female, Doyle is the fawn ginger male (and a lazier cat I've never seen).
